Memory Cassette
Memory Cassette make beautiful music and seem to be keen on giving it away through their blog We’re Tapes. Sincerely Yours (Tough Alliance record label) & Acephale (home to Salem) are co-releasing their debut 7” ep “Call & Response” this month. I’m particularly fond of this alternate take to “Last One Awake” that I found on their blog. It almost sounds like Air France mixed with a touch of High Places and a splash of Beach House. For most of my life I had the worst time getting to sleep at night so this song is the theme song to every sleep over I ever attended.
