Dirty Projectors - Bitte Orca
Mark your calenders; on June 9th Brooklyn’s Dirty Projectors will release their fifth full-length album Bitte Orca on Domino Records. I’ll be picking up the 2xLP because Domino is smart enough to include a download code that grants you access to 320kbp MP3s. Other labels take note; this is how to sell albums in 2009. When I buy a CD the first thing I do is rip it into my iTunes and promptly lose it while simultaneously breaking the jewel case and cutting my hand. With an LP I get the cover art nice and big while keeping my Tech 1200s dusted off. It may change with the days but for now “No Intention” is probably my favorite.
